Gill Pratt, Toyota, Waymo and FiveAI confirmed the Collapse of the Autonomous Vehicle Industry — It can be Reversed with an Ego, Echo Chamber and Engineering Paradigm Shift
Here is the Gill Pratt article
Here is my article on Waymo and FiveAI
Waymo’s Valuation Down 85% — Effectively Bankrupt — Will go to Zero if it doesn’t change its Development Approach
And Starsky Robotics went out of business with Apple cutting way back after buying the now defunct Drive.AI
Stop the Insanity!
True to form — Gill Pratt is doubling down on exactly why the industry is failing. Let’s just be better at the thing bankrupting us and harming people for no reason?
No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Folks please snap out of it. Let that final critical epiphany happen.
Maybe we consumed a little too much of our IT, Silicon Valley and gaming bath water? Maybe our experience wasn’t enough or entirely relevant? Maybe we are in over a heads a bit? Maybe the insanely difficult thing we are trying to do requires the exact opposite approach? Maybe we can separate ourselves from our egos and the echo chamber, apply some common sense, objective reflection and look to other industries for help? Maybe there are folks who just might have done some things better and before us? Folks who may have technology, developed decades ago that could reverse this train wreck?
We need to literally flip every paradigm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The solution is in my first article below. After that are some articles providing more information.

Why are Autonomous Vehicle makers using Deep Learning over Dynamic Sense and Avoid with Dynamic Collision Avoidance? Seems very inefficient and needlessly dangerous?

My company is Dactle
We are building an aerospace/DoD/FAA level D, full L4/5 simulation-based testing and AI system with an end-state scenario matrix to address several of the critical issues in the AV/OEM industry I mentioned in my articles below. This includes replacing 99.9% of public shadow and safety driving. As well as dealing with significant real-time, model fidelity and loading/scaling issues caused by using gaming engines and other architectures. (Issues Unity will confirm. We are now working together. We are also working with UAV companies). If not remedied these issues will lead to false confidence and performance differences between what the Plan believes will happen and what actually happens. If someone would like to see a demo or discuss this further please let me know.
