I actually don’t quote the fatality rate. I use Rand to show the time and effort required (and as such the cost) of using public shadow/safety driving is impossible to over come.

Having said that the current path will literally kill thousands needlessly as they run thousands of accident scenarios hundreds even thousands of times over.
