Just like Silicon Valley — they invent everything, give it a name and sell it.
Pretty sure this approach has existed for a very long time. It is something I actually prefer myself. In most of what i read on it there is one very important part missing, something that makes it Pollyanna. It assumes the person’s skills are the only root cause never them. While that is often true there are cases, I would say 20% of the time, when people’s personalities and preferences don’t like up with the role. Or they are actually toxic in almost any role. And that is usually not fixed by keeping them in that role and making it about the work and not them. It can be them and should be dealt with as them.
