Here is proof of the significant capabilities of DoD simulation technology to create a true physics based digital twin

This can save autonomous vehicles makers from spending hundreds of billions of $, spending an eternity never getting near L4 or harming people for no reason Zero hype These are capabilities simulation technology in this industry cannot come close to. This is not just a great visual rendering or visual representations. Here is a complete physics based digital twin of a Velodyne LiDAR detecting a variety of objects and environments. Everything is a physics based digital twin of a real-world object. To includes the exact material reflectivity. A key example being blades of grass modeled down to mm size physics polygons. If blades of grass can be modeled anything can be precisely modeled. This capability can be extended to 3600sq miles of physics based digital twins, both moving and fixed models, including hundreds of vehicles, sensors etc engaged in the most complex of scenarios. All in proper real time.
