You never mentioned Tesla’s massive object detection issues, the associated deaths or if LiDAR would have prevented them. The objects being barriers, broadside tractor trailers and stopped firetrucks. If Tesla is going to push no LiDAR after killing 4 people they should prove it would not have avoided those tragedies. And if they can’t detect those objects what else can’t they detect? Lastly no one has yet shown any combination of fused sensor types is robust and redundant enough to get to L4, especially in degraded conditions.
