Tesla officially states Full-Self-Driving is Not Autonomous and Never will be

In the letter sent in December 2020, Tesla states:

“While the current pilot version of City Streets is still in a validation and review stage, we expect the functionality to remain largely unchanged in a future, full release to the customer fleet. We are analyzing the data obtained in the pilot and using it to refine the feature’s operation and customer experience. We will continue to make refinements as necessary, and only after we are fully satisfied with performance, integrity, and safety will we release the feature to the customer fleet. That said, we do not expect significant enhancements in OEDR or other changes to the feature that would shift the responsibility for the entire DDT to the system. As such, a final release of City Streets will continue to be an SAE Level 2, advanced driver-assistance feature.

Why did Tesla tell the California DMV one thing and it tells the world, especially their customers another? Because it’s one thing to lie and mislead the public and another the government. Both create discovery. But the former is a much bigger deal. They also need their overly trusting needless human Guinea pigs to keep risking their lives in the untenable and futile effort. And they need them to keep paying more to do it.

(No one is paying more and more for a robotaxi that will recoup their every increasing investment or make a profit. What they have is perpetual L2 and a very bad one at that. Given the incredibly poor sensor system that cannot properly detect stationary and crossing objects.)

My company is Dactle

We are building an aerospace/DoD/FAA level D, full L4/5 simulation-based testing and AI system with an end-state scenario matrix to address several of the critical issues in the AV/OEM industry I mentioned in my articles below. This includes replacing 99.9% of public shadow and safety driving. As well as dealing with significant real-time, model fidelity and loading/scaling issues caused by using gaming engines and other architectures. (Issues Unity will confirm. We are now working together. We are also working with UAV companies). If not remedied these issues will lead to false confidence and performance differences between what the Plan believes will happen and what actually happens. If someone would like to see a demo or discuss this further please let me know.
