As you can see by the article, I wrote on Waymo’s epiphany below, as well as this new study, the industry is figuring out gaming simulation technology has fantastic visuals but lacks the real-time, modeling and “deterministic” capabilities they need to get close to SAE L4. The problem now is they do not understand the core issue is the host architecture and modeling approach. As a result, they are trying to manipulate the root cause vs replace it. That will result in some improvements. But nowhere near enough. In my articles below I explain how to do this right.
